Mrs. James Halverson of Brigham City, Mrs. William Swlneyard of Logan, Mrs. John Owen of Juniper, Ida,, and Mrs, Frank Halverson of Blackfoot, Ida. LINCOLN CIRCLE LADIES ENTERTAIN. The ladles of Lincoln Circle No. 2 gave a delightful social, Thursday afternoon, aft-ernoon, from 4 to 8 at the home of Mrs. Q. R. Croft, 2555 Fowler avenue, ave-nue, the DIx-Logan Post and wives were guests of honor. Mrs. Gertrude Carr gave several readings, and Mr. Aldredge delighted the company with several solos. Mr. and Mrs. McFarlund and Mrs. Robert Harlin of this city spent Fri-day Fri-day in Corinno with their mother, Mrs. Harlin. RETURNS HOME. Mrs. Boletta Peterson has returned to this city after a pleasant visit in Bear River City. MISS CALVERT HOME. Miss Jennie Calvert just returned from a very pleasant sojourn ip California, Cali-fornia, spending the summer at the beaches and visited both expositions before her return to Ogden. Mrs. Luke of Salt Lake City accompanied ac-companied her; also Miss Pearl Luke and Master Claudies Luke. Miss Calvert Cal-vert enjoyed her stay in California immensely. HOME FROM COAST. Mrs. S. E. Brumbaugh has returned from a three weeks' trip through California, Cali-fornia, BACK FROM COAST. Mibs Mildred Cortez returned to Ogden this morning from the coast where sho spent the past three weeks. Miss Inez Cortez will return in one week. ELIM SOCIETY. The Elim society meets next Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, September 8, at 8:30 o'clock at the home of Marcus Johnson, John-son, 301 Thirty-first street All are welcome and urged to attend these meetings. GUEST OF MISS MEISSNER. Miss Elvira Bong of Salt Lake City is tho house guest of Miss Ellen Meissner. Miss Bong is an accomplished accom-plished musician having studied In Berlin und6r noted professors. At the opening of the war she was forced forc-ed to return to her home in Salt Lake. Miss Bong speaks highly of the German people and was greatly Impressed with the splendid mobilization mobili-zation of German troops. |
