She resides at Parowan, the county seat of Iron county, and bhe has a good word for that thriving little lit-tle city. She says that during the past summer from 35 to 50 modern bungalow residences have been erected erect-ed and business houeeB havo been built. This morning Mrs. Benson visited the county recorder and county clerk's offices to get an idea of the manner in which the business of those offices are conducted. She praised the efficiency of both departments depart-ments and said that sho had examined exam-ined no system of keeping records, that excels that of the Weber county officers. Speaking of Iron county, the lady said that extensile development in farming is being made and that the entire country is practically taken up. Sho said that corn from a dry farm was brought to Parowan a few dayB ago that stood eight feet high, and that iix etocka carried a splendid quality of corn. There are many artesian ar-tesian wells in Iron county, which Irrigate a number of good farms. |
