The sugar content of the beets is two points below that required, the sugar company people say, but there is a big crop to be harvested and digging dig-ging must begin Immediately. It requires about 1000 tons of beets on hand before the company feels justified in starting the factory and it is expected that there will be that tonnage at the factory by the middle of next week. It is possible that the plant may be placed in operation Wednesday The factory has a capacity ca-pacity of from 500 to 750 tons a day. |
