Show TO SHIP CAR FOR BELGIANS TOMORROW Salt Lake, Dec. 9 The car being loaded with foodstuffs for the Belgians Bel-gians by the local chapter probably will start on its journey to New York tomorrow The car is expected to arrive here today laden with 25,000 pounds of flour from Jxan, and every ev-ery effort will be made to haw the remaii.dr of the foodsfufts loadea here in time for shipment tomorrow. Of the flour In the car. 5000 pounds were donated by tne citizens or uo-gan uo-gan and the remainder was purchased oy the local chapter of the Red Cross Included In the articles to he loaded here are 5000 pounds of sugar. 500 pounds of cheese, lOOn pounds of breakfast food. 200 cases of canned yeas, 100 cases of condensed milk and a large quantity of nou-perishable meats When the car has been forwarded the activities of the local Red Cross workers will be confined to the preparation prep-aration of hospital dressings until after the holidays, owing to the home work incident to Christmas time. The program for future work has not been outlined. |
