"Send the boy to SL Marys cathedral cathed-ral with $4 worth., and see that he has chango for $20," was tho order given. When L. Pouiton, the messenger, appeared at St. Mary's cathedral with the roses there was 'no funeral there, but a man stepped out and presented a check for $20. Pouiton gave him $1C in cash and was then directed to an address to deliver the roses to a woman. The young woman could not be found and the boy returned to the store with roses and ctteck. Investigation Investi-gation revealed that tho check was worthless. The boy furnished city detectives de-tectives a description of the suspect. |
