In the personal injury C3se of Orcno Hoggc against the Salt Lake & Ogden Railway com; pany, the defendant has moved for a new trial. Mrs. Hogge sued the company com-pany for $30,500 damages for the death of h,er husband, Lawrence Hoggc, and the jury awarded her damages dam-ages in the sum of $5,000. The Fourth ward choir will take the place of the Second ward choir in the Second ward tomorrow night and will furnish an excellent program of music. The choral numbers will be "Let the Mountains Shout for Joy," "A Spring Song," "O, Come Let Us Sing," and "Song of the Redeemed.' The county teachers held their regular regu-lar institute today in the county court house, Mrs. Holllster. primary grade supervisor of Utah, addressing the pedagogues on "Hand Work in the Primary Grades and inspiration for Language." The lecture was highly appreciated. All the teachers of the county were in attendance and they took up the regular departmental work after hearing hear-ing the lecture. Weber Camp No. 74, Woodmen of the World, has inaugurated a membership mem-bership campaign for the purpose oC adding 200 new members to its rolls by June 1, 1914. The city has been divided into seventeen precincts and a captain has been assigned to each. These districts will be systematic-all)- canvassed for members.
