Show Basketball camp features Ron Boone of ABA Stars Applications for Southern Utah State College's boys summer basketball camps, featuring Ron Boone of the ABA Utah Stars, are now being accepted. "Response to the camp has been excellent; we are getting lots of applications from outside the immediate area," Stan Jack, SUSC basketball coach and camp director, says. "We hope that some of the local boys interested don't wait too long to submit their registration form. The application ap-plication deadline is July 7, but the camps may fill up earlier." Registration forms for the two camps are available from Coach Jack at the Physical Education Building, SUSC, Cedar City, Utah, 84720. The first camp begins July 14 and runs through July 18. Dates for the second camp are July 21-25. Boys who will be in the seventh through 12th grades this fall are eligible. Anyone who graduated from high school this spring will not be enrolled. The camp will cost $80, including in-cluding meals and lodging, for those boys who live on campus; and $47.50 including the noon meal each day, for those participants par-ticipants who commute. In addition to Jack and Boone, the camp staff will include Dick Hobbs, Cedar High School; Hal Hamblin, Kanab High School; Russell Shirts, Parowan High School, Kohn Smith, Dayton, Idaho, High School, and members mem-bers of the Southern Utah State College basketball team. |
