Show Youth attend 4-H club conference Four Cedar City 4-H Club youths were among the approximately ap-proximately 150 from throughout Utah to attend this year's Utah 4-H 4-H Youth Conference held at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Participants from Cedar City were: Elaine Matheson, Ronald Esplin, Eric Schmutz and Lori K. Webb. Theme of the conference, sponsored by Utah State University in cooperation with Standard Oil Company of California and the Utah Bicentennial Bicen-tennial Commission, was "Our Utah Heritage." The conference's goals included in-cluded providing participants with some new prospectives on the purposes and plans for the observance of the nation's bicentennial and to provide ideas for community pride programs. "The conference was also held for the purpose of helping youth enlarge their appreciation for their Utah Heritage and to help them become aware of the career opportunitiies related to history and heritage," related Amy Kearsley, USU 4-H supervisor. |
