Show PARAGONAH NEWS day in the Temple there. A visit to the Smithsonian Institute was a highlight and they did much geneological research. In Robinson, 111. they saw friends Mr. and Mrs. Bill Matheson and spent considerable time at Shawneetown, 111. They also visited friends in Topeka, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Robb of Idaho Falls, Idaho visited here on Fri. with the Chester Robinsons and Dale Robinsons. Mr. Arch Fotheringham traveled to .Salt Lake City on Wed. to take care of business matters and visited overnight with son Howard and family. By llilma I.ainoi eaiix A reunion of the Thomas Davenport family was held in the Paragonah Ward Cultural Hall on Sat. June 21. A business meeting was held at 11 o'clock. Other features were a fine program under the direction of Mrs. Shirley Jones and lunch for all. An estimateed 100 people attended. Mr. William T. Davenport was here for the occasion and had most of his family present. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Robinson and Toni Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Rnhinnn ramp frnm DoHon Mr visitors at the Frank Lister home. On Saturday all available Abbott relatives gathered at the Myron Abbott home for Turkey dinner and visiting. Some twenty seven members attended including in-cluding the Rodney Knights and Mrs. Pearl Rogers of Cedar City and the Howard Rasmussens of Parowan. ' Mrs. Ruby Bauer and two children of Cedar City were here Mon. with Calvin Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Barton and family including the Ronald Johnsons and their little hnvs Mr. and Mrs. Albert Michaeli of Costa Mesa Calif, are here for a two week stay at their vacation home. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Reid and baby of Calif, visited with his great aunt, Mrs. Hannah Robinson on Thurs. Mr. Ried is in the Air Force and he and his family were enroute to Alaska and were going to see some of Canada on the way. and Mrs. Byron Montague from Payson, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Smith, daughter Sonya and her little son came from Sandy, Jay Davenport Daven-port from Summit and Mrs. Dot Smith, Parowan. Members of the Bert Davenport Daven-port family included Mrs. Emma Knight, her husband and family. Members from St. George, Mrs. Clara Smith and Mrs. Dean Hughes and family members from Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bluhm came from Salt Lake City. From Parowan were Mrs. Jackie Robinson and family members, Mrs. Pearl Davenport, Mrs. Gretta Woods and boys. Members Mem-bers of the Myron Jones family came from Enoch and Cedar City. Members of the Frank Lister family were to Cedar City on Thurs. for the funeral for Sam's mother-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Wilson who passed away suddenly. sud-denly. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Roundy of Rowland HpicJhtts Plif MrrivpH went to Lake Powell for the weekend. Paragonah's second eldest man, Mr. Frank K. Williamson observed the 91st anniversay of his birthday on Thurs. June 19 and family and friends gathered to help him celebrate the occasion. oc-casion. The Lester Williamsons and the Sheldon Bensons brought picnic lunch which was enjoyed and many relatives and friends called at the home. Mr. Williamson is in com-paritively com-paritively good health and is able to care for his very fine garden, a remarkable feat for a man his age. Mrs. Delores Robinson, Mrs. Kristine Thornton, Mrs. Dianne Robinson and her baby traveled North on Thurs. to visit with the Elmo Robinson family in Orem and keep Dr. appointments in Salt Lake City. Delores and Kristine came home on Sat. and Dianne waited for David to be finished with his Guard Camp. Cindy and Todd Robinson of V ...,..VU, . . , U here on Mon. to spend the week with Orleane's Boardman relatives. They were going on to Kaysville to join a group of about 100 for a tour to Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Shidler and baby of Silt, Colorado were in town Mon. for an over-night stay at the Jack Dalton home. They also visited great aunts, Lula Bastian and Sarah Stones. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jones and children of Salt Lake City spent the week here with the Blaine Jones family. On Thurs. they traveled to Fredonia to see the Rodney Jones family accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Alice Jones and Mrs. Carmen Topham. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Abbott were over from Richfield Fri. night to attend the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rasmussen and visited with relatives here. Mrs. Carol Butterfield and daughters, Tammy and Sue of Ogden also came for the reception and were overnight Orem returned to Paragonah for a visit with the Dale Robinsons. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hullinger of Salt Lake City, Hillman Stevens of Ogden and Ervin Stevens of Provo visited here two days last week with Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. Mrs. Roene Lund arrived home on Fri. after a month long trip back East with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McGookin of Long Beach, Calif. She reports a very interesting in-teresting time having visited overnight with relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Klamm in Chicago enroute to Odenton, Maryland where they spent one week with the family of their sister Mrs. Lucille with the family of their sister Mrs. Lucille Smolenski and attended Debbie Smolenski's wedding. They toured in New Jersey and New York City, visited Gettysburg, Get-tysburg, spent some time in Washington, D.C. and spent a |
