Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Dear Editor: I reckon that the "Record" is still a'pretty fair example of a news media. It gets results faster than a stray torn cat on Saturday night. In the last issue, June 12, 1 wrote a little article and already I notice where the City Fathers have passed an Ordinance prohibiting motorcycles on the new Canyon Park - Gung Ho Kerry and Co. Well, now I've come up w'ith another problem. It seems like every issue of the paper or magamc you pick up now days everyone is asking you to beautify your home, gardens, lawns and general surroundings. Now, I ask what incentive is there for me, to try and keep my lot clean and beautiful if the person or persons who own the property tc the South of me let the weeds grow, year after year. Dead weeds and rubbish have piled up on this lot lor "the past 30 years without anyone making the least effort to move them. They not only create a terrific fire hazard, but are also a health hazard to not only my family, but to the general public. Not counting the ones I've hauled away in years past, I personally had to dig out. clean up and tart off four dead cats and one dead dog this spring. Boy. was he forever dead.! ' If it hadn't been for the cold weather we have been having he would have either been resurrected or reincarnated. In Salt Lake City and other Communities throughout the State if such a condition exists, the owner is given 30 days to clean it up or else the city moves in. cleans it up and attaches the bill to his property taxes.
