Show SUSC opens 75 Theatre Season with production Wonderful Town supervisor and set designer. Reservations for "Wonderful Town" are available by calling 586-3636; tickets are available at the SUSC auditorium box office. , r y----m 1 p n ft , i i "Wonderful Town," a nostalgic musical comedy, opens November 12 at Southern Utah State College. Curtain time is 8:15 p.m. in the SUSC auditorium. Slated as the first SUSC Campus Community Theatre production dedicated to America's Bicentennial, the play will run for four consecutive evenings. Set in Greenwich Village, New York, in the mid-1940's, the play concerns the struggle of a pair of sisters from Ohio -- Eileen, an unrenowned actress, and Ruth, a luckless writer -- set adrift amid the confusions and hypocrisies of the "lost generation" era. The story stems from a book written by Jerome Choderov and Joseph Fields. Leonard Bernstein Bern-stein composed the musical score with song lyrics written by Comden and Green. "The fun of the 40's with its absurd and crazy antics gives us a warm and happy picture of New York -- the most wonderful town in the world," Fred C. Adams, play director, notes.
