Cedar Products Co. presented plaque by American Legion Cedar Products Co. of Cedar City has been selected as Utah's entry in national competition by American Legion for their policies in hiring Veterans. Dale Madsen, State Depart- ment Commander of the American Legion announced this past week that the Cedar City firm was selected from among 15 small Utah employers to compete com-pete for the distinguished honor. Manager Louis J. Szepi was informed that his organization was selected for the outstanding business reorganization by the veterans organization and that his firm, representing the state of Utah, would now go on to compete in a national competition com-petition sponsored by the American Legion. Commander Madsen, Bob Ramos, Veterans Affairs Representative for the State of Utah and Milt Sevy, Job Service, Veterans Employment Representative of Cedar City presented Mr. Szepi with a plaque this past week in recognition of the firms selection. selec-tion. Every year the American Legion honors employers thorughout the United States who hire veterans. In making the presentation to Mr. Szepi the American Legion officials expressed that organization's gratitude to Cedar Products for their concern of people in the community and especially for their policy of special emphasis on hiring veterans. |
