The bride is a graduate of West High School and she graduated in August 1974 from the BYU College of Nursing. Mr. Farnsworth is a Cedar High School graduate. He attended at-tended SUSC for a year and then graduated from BYU Aug. 1974, in the college of psycology. While in high school he was Lieutenant General of the district. He fulfilled a mission to the Virginai-North Carolina mission, and has worked as manager of para-professional counseling program at BYU. At the present time he is employed with Marriott's Great America, a new theme park similar to Disneyland, located near Chicago, Illinois. Pre-nuptial parties included a Gourmet Shower given by Mrs. Milton Taylor and neighbors; a Recipe Shower given by Mrs. Fred Okelberry and Mrs. Leland Baxter; a dinner given by the nurses of 5 Northeast of the LDS Hospital; a Miscellaneous Shower given by Misses Diane Freckleton, Marcia Gleason, and Jolene Werner; and family dinners given by Mrs. Frank W. Taylor and Mrs. Norman Anderson. MR. AND MRS. DAVID S. FARNSWORTH yellow, white and blue. Sharing the honor of best man were Kent W. Farnsworth (in Salt Lake) and Jerry W. Farnsworth Farn-sworth (in Cedar City). In Salt Lake the ushering was done by Michael Cannon, David C. Willis, Kent Rich and Jeffery Garry. The ushers in Cedar were Raymond Gardner, Neuman Duncan, Michael Cannon, Kent Rich and James Froyd. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Whetten acted as host and hostess for the Open House for which the hall was decorated in white, including in-cluding white mum centerpieces on the tables. Mrs. Jerold Farnsworth presided at the guest book while Cleo Petty furnished background music on the organ. Special musical numbers included duets by Mr. and Mrs. Paul (LaRae) Radmall and a song by the sisters of the bride (all of whom were bridesmaids). The refreshments were served by Suzanne Radmall, Teresia Larsen, DeAnn Smith,. Margaret Foley, Daphne Stokes, and Alyce Chidester. Mrs. Willis wore a powder blue empire-waist dress of brocade and Mrs. Farnsworth's powder blue dress featured a chiffon overskirt and beaded empire waist bodice. Both mothers had white orchid corsages. The bride chose a blue polyester knit suit with pink turtleneck sweater accesorized Rites solomni,ed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple October 16 united Miss Florence Willis and David Sperry Farnsworth in marriage. Temple official John LaMont Preece, a cousin of the bridegroom, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Bertram T. Willis, Salt Lake City, are the parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Reed W. Farnsworth, 225 S. 200 W. Cedar City. Dr. and Mrs. Farnsworth were hosts at the wedding breakfast at the Lion House following the ceremony. That evening the newlyweds were further feted at a reception in their honor at the Ensign Ward in Salt Lake City; and two days later they greeted guests at an open house in the Enchanted Garden in Cedar City. The bride was radiant in an empire-waist dress of white chiffon featuring a high neckline. A delicate lace trim on the neckline and sleeves matched the dainty lace cap which held the finger-tip veil and the lace edging on the veil. She carried a bouquet of gardenias, small white mums and baby breath. Attending the bride were Mrs. Kent Rich, Mrs. Robert Corry, Mrs. Warren Huber, Miss Rebecca Willis, Miss Mary Beth Willis, Mrs. Kent Farnsworth (in Salt Lake) and Mrs. Michael (Joan) Cannon (in Cedar City). The bridesmaids wore lovely empire-waist dresses of royal blue crepe accented with white lace around the neckline. Thev carried nosegays of yellow daisies, white mums, blue carnations and blue bachelor buttons accented by streamers of by a red-pink-blue scarf for her going away costume. The newlyweds honeymooned at Zion Nat'l Park, Grand Canyon, Bryce National Park and Manti before making their home in Illinois. The day following the wedding, |
