Robinson of Orem and all of their family including Douglas and Valerie Ivie and two little daughters of Duchesne arrived here early Fri. to spend the weekend with the Chester Robinsons and Dale Robinson families and to attend the wedding festivities for Cathy Edwards and Paul Chapman in Cedar City. Chester and Irene, Dale and Dolores, Elmo and Dorothy were all to the wedding luncheon at the Town & Country and were accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Alice Robinson of Parowan. All of the family attended the evening reception as did numbers num-bers of other Paragonah people and Miss Brenda Church who accompanied Elmo's family here from Orem Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Jolley and three daughters of Cedar City were Sunday visitors here with Mrs. Idella Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux traveled to Orem on Wed. to visit until Fri. with son Robin and his family and help celebrate the birthdays of Robin and his little daughter Marche. Bishop and Mrs. Myron Abbott celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary on Sun. with all of their family being present for the occasion. The Lee Abbotts arrived from Salt Lake City Sat. night to stay until Tues. and Rodney and Klea Knight came from Cedar City. Elwin Talbot, sons Mark and Curtis and the latter's wife Linda, arrived here Fri. night to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot. Mrs. Melva Barton and son J. Lowe traveled to Salt Lake City to spend the weekend with relatives and friends. Relatives here have received word that Mr. Scott Barton had open heart surgery on Thurs. at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Latest reports were that his condition was satisfactory. Miss Pamela Barton was leaving for the City on Mon. to be near her father and visit other family members there. Mrs. Irene Robinson entertained en-tertained on Wed. evening of last week at a bridal shower for her grand daughter, Miss Cathy Edwards of Cedar City. Mrs. Vera Gibson of Cedar City visited here last week with her brotner-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund and on Thurs. she and Roene traveled North. Mrs. Gibson was to visit relatives in Salt Lake City and Roene went on to Logan to spend some time with the Steve Halversen family. She also expected to see the Victor Smith family of Billings, Montana who were coming to Logan. Bishop and Mrs. Myron Abbott and daughter Dana traveled to Salt Lake City on Wed. to take Mrs. Bonnie Abbott and her two little children back home again following their visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Talbot and daughter Annette of Salt Lake City, were here from Fri. to Sun. to visit with the Orson Talbots. Mr. George A. Topham was taken to the Valley View Medical Center on Mon. for treatment for high blood pressure and other ailments. Mrs. Garna Lister entered the Valley View Medical Center on Wed. for surgery which was performed thei following day. She is making a satisfactory recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cutler traveled to Las Vegas on Sat. to visit with the Mark Henderson family until Mon. Miss Carol Sue Butterfield of Ogden visited here overnight Thurs. with her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lister and the Myron Abbott family. She was accompanied by two of her friends and was enroute to Tempe, Arizona to visit with her sister, Mrs. Paula Maddock and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Lamoreaux of Ash Springs, Nevada visited here on Thurs. w ith the Chester Robinsons. |
