Show "Music Man" appreciated at Parowan High PAROWAN - Parowan High School was the scene for uproarous laughter, a few tears and a roar of applause last week when the Music Man was presented there. Large crowds attended the performances and everyone enjoyed it very much. Richard Johnson and Gary Jensen were the directors of the musical, and every well staged scene was a credit to them. The cast was excellent and the scenery and props very well handled and very effective. A special performance was given Thursday afternoon for the elementary students and for 240 guests from Cedar North Elementary. Ed Walunas and Holly Robiason gave flawless performances per-formances as Harold Hill "The Music Man" and Marian Paroo "The town Librarian". Laura Barton as the Mayor's wife and Louise Davenport his daughter kept the audience in stitches with their efforts to make peace between the mayor Jeff Johnson and Harold Hill. Ted Cooke played Tommy Djilas. Watch for him in future productions. He shows a real talent for acting. Phil Hermansen, Nancy Adams, Julie Orton, Jeri Jerome and Jon Robinson gave very good performances in supporting roles, and young 7th grade students Brent Stapley and Teresa Johnson were also well chosen for the roles hey played. Probably the most difficult part in the musical was played by Russell Abbott, who was the village statue and was required to stand perfectly still through several long scenes. The barber shop quartet with Carlyle Potter, Ray Ferguson, Gary Jensen and Brad Robinson should be used in future activities ac-tivities at school we enjoyed them very much. The cast included 66 PI IS students accompianists were Jackie Robinson and Vyonne Chamberlain, Assistant director was Jalene Hall, stage manager Dana Fiack, graphic designer was Christine Bryant, technical director, Craig Orton. Set construction con-struction by John Bayles. Garry Benson, Janice Brewer, Christine Bryant, Danny Calloway, Randy Chamberlain, Tony Dalton, Dana Fiack, Art Lyon, Craig Orton, Danny Pack-wood, Pack-wood, and Elliot Warren.
