Show World War 1 Veterans elect officers for 1975 patriotic programs to promote Americanism. Auxiliary officers Serving with Mrs. Jenson in leadership positions with the Auxiliary arc: Blanch Webster, first vice president; Blanche Dotson, second vice president; Rachel Thorley. secretary and treasurer; Ada Perry, Chaplin; Ada Perry, Memorial, Nomie Mackleprang, conductress and Ida Duston. guard. Named as trustees were Viella Arns, one year; Anne Mc-Donough Mc-Donough two years and Marie Corry, three years. Heading up the legislative committee will he Rachel Thorley; Joyce Smith will be on charge of community service and Irma M. Jones will be in charge of history and publicity. New officers were elected and installed this past week by the Veterans of World War I, Barracks No. 2:S4:i. Officers will serve for the 1975 year. Elected as commander of the Barracks was Lorin C. Miles. Named to head up the Auxiliary organization was Kllen Jenson, who was named to another term as president. Named to service with Commander Com-mander Miles were: Leland lleywood. Senior Vice commander; com-mander; Frank Jackson, Junior Vice Commander; Haldow E. Christensen, Judge Advocate: Wilford Webster, chaplin; Mort Thorley, Sgt at Arms w ith Parry Mackelprang as assistant and Henry P. Dotson as quartermaster. quar-termaster. Named to the executive board were George McDonnough, one year; Tracy Blood, two years and Ross Taylor, three years. Installation was conducted by Tracy Blood. Department of I'tah Junior Vice Commander and National Deputy Aid. Project activities for the Barracks were listed as: Aid for the disabled Vets and families; educational appointments for children of vets; hospitalization and care of the sick; fitting memorial services for departed vets: search out and enroll all new members in Iron County, and Planning and supporting all |
