Show Health Workshop to be held March 22 at SUSC Paul Westover, Health Planner-Coordinator for the Five County Association of Governments, Govern-ments, today indicated that due to the interest shown in the March 22nd health workshop, the morning session will be held in the SUSC music recital hall rather than the library as originally announced. The theme chosen for the workshop is "Health is a Community Com-munity Affair" and all interested persons are invited to attend free of charge. Highlights of the workshop will include morning lectures by Robert L. Kane, M. D. editor of the "Journal of Community Health" and chairman of the Division of Community Health at the University of Utah Medical Center; and Leland Kaiser M. I)., M. P. H. nationally recognized authority on community com-munity health planning. Afternoon activities will lake place in the SUSC library and w ill concentrate on new national health legislation mandating greater community involvement in health planning, and health resource development and management. Susan Christie from the governors state planning plan-ning coordinators office will lead discussions of what this legislation w ill mean to Southern Utah. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. with the wrap-up scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday. March 22. |
