Show f .' I . NAT MUZUMDAR Authentic 'Indian' Dinner sponsored by 1st Ward Scouts i By Ronald Smith PAHOVVAN - It is my pleasure to introduce the Muzumdars of Parowan. Last November 1974 the Muzumdars came from Whittier, California to retire in Parowan. Both are Mormons and very active in our First Ward. Sister Muzumdar is very active in Relief Society and Choir. She has been a piano teacher practically prac-tically all her life and the first one to advocate very strongly that the four year olds can be taught to play piano and can be disciplined. Some of her students who started to play at the age of four are today concertizing not only in America but all over Europe and Russia. Brother Muzumdar originally came from Bombay, India to the United States of America in 1937 as a self-supporting student. Since he has received his B.S. from the University of Minnesota majoring in Social Studies and Education. Ke also has his M.A. from the Northwestern University majoring in Secon- dary School Administration. He is very proud to be a citizen of the United States on June 20, 1950 and since he has taught 10 years in public schools in this country and for past seventeen years he was engaged as a teacher by the California Youth Authority. Mr. Muzumdar has written several editorials on Understanding Un-derstanding India' for Min-niapolis Min-niapolis Star Journal and Tribune and for Atascadero Daily News on 'Understanding Teenagers'. He has lectured professionally in forty two states on India, Gandhi and other related subjects. Brother Muzumdar is very much concerned con-cerned with the upbringing of our youngsters in this country. He believes that in the name of the Constitution an average American takes too much liberty and too much for granted. This is why he is trying to help our first Ward Boy Scouts by cooking for over 500 people Exotic East India dishes to raise funds for them on March 22, 1975. It will be a six course dinner: (1) Dhal (2) Bhat (3) Puris (4) (Bhujias (5) Shak 6 Hulva. Everyone is invited and welcome at the Third Ward Recreation Hall at 7:00 p.m. Donations are: $2.00 per plate or $7.50 per family. Come and join us in the fun - Support your Boy Scouts and listen to the melodious music of India See the unbelievable art work of India - maybe a live snakecharmer. Be seeing you all on Sat.
