Show BPW attend St. George Meet By Candace L. Ewing In response to an invitation in-vitation from the St. George Business and Professional Womens' Club, seven members of the Cedar City Club traveled to St. George Wednesday, Aug. 17, to attend its August meeting. A delicious Buffet dinner was served in the Sun Room of Dixie College to 50 members from Zion, Cedar, and St. George Clubs. The Sun Room is a beautiful room, finished in dark wood paneling, with large windows win-dows facing the Red Hill. It is carpeted with chartruese carpet. A long table had been preapred with chartruese char-truese colored napkins and amber glass tumblers, a truly beautiful and inviting sight. Following the meal, the members adjourned to the Washington County Courthouse Cour-thouse to enjoy a presentation presen-tation of "Jenny, The Mail Order Bride," a melodrama performed by Dixie College students and directed by C. Paul Anderson, Director of Performing Arts and Dixie College Theatre. Those attending from Cedar City were: Naomi Harrison, her sister Lois Mill, visiting from Deming, N M ; Edna Sargent. Karla Hulet, Ada Jones. Iva Bringhurst, and Candace Ewing. The next regular meeting of the Cedar City BPW Club will be Sept. 14 at the Town & Country Restaurant, with the program in charge of the Civic Participation Committee. |
