Show Lonald Robinson, Carpenter, Mechanic dies in St. George; Services Held direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. J?Z LONALD ROBINSON Lonald Arthur Robinson, 60 died October 23, 1979 at his home in St. George of a heart attack. He was born November 13, 1918 in Parowan, Utah to Arthur Henderson and Marietta Applegate Robinson. He ' married LaRae Lauritzen on August 26, 1948 in Pioche, Nevada. fte adopted the children of bis wife's first marriage and they had four sons together. They were divorced in 1977. A son Victor M. and a sister Beth Howard preceed him in death. He was a member of the LDS Church. Mr. Robinson was born and raised in Parowan attending school there. He attended SUSC. He worked as a carpenter and later owned and operated the Lon's Auto Repair in Parowan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Robinson lived in Kearns for six years and had recently been living in the St. George area. He was also a sheep herder. Survivors include five sons: Johanthan D. of Sandy; Ronald L. of Parowan; Lynn R. of Salina ; Dale of Platsburg AFB in New York and Norman of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren, grand-children, his 'mother Mrs. , Marietta Robinson of Parowan; five brothers and two sisters: Howard of Oklahoma, Rob Robert of Enterprise, Willis of Parowan, Mark and Floyd of Cedar City; Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Tattersal of Kearns and Mrs. Richard (Alice) Tullis of Parowan. Funeral services were held Saturday October 27, 1979 at 1 p.m. in the Parowan 2nd LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Glen Halterman officiating. Family prayer was given at the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary by Jonathan Robinson. Prelude and postlude music was rendered by Barbara Batt. She- also accompanied Jackie Robinson who sang. "Going Home". Invocation was offered by Dale Robinson with Amos C. Hatch giving an eulogy. Veral Taylor sang "Lay My Head Beneath the Rose". He was accompanied by Leslie Taylor. Howard Joseph was speaker followed by remarks from Bishop Halterman. "I Need Thee Every Hour" was sung by Jackie Robinson, Elaine Paulson and Linda Larsen and accompaned by Barbara Bar-bara Batt. Mark Robinson gave the benediction on the services. Willis Robinson gave the dedicatory prayer followed by the military rites by the American Legion Post No. 20.
