Show Join Festival Board I Michael Park Three new members have been appointed to the Utah Shakespearean Festival Board of Directors it was announced this week by Southern Utah State College President Orville D. Carnahan, Chairman of the Festival Board. The new members are Garth Jones, ' Cedar City Chamber of Commerce; Steve Thomas, president of Thomas Management Corporation aand owner of the Sugar Loaf Cafe and Rodeway Inn; and Michael W. Park, senior partner in the law firm of Park and Braithwaite. According to Fred C. Adams, Producing Director of the Festival, addition of this members brings the Festival Board to full functioning strength, and the new areas represented by these members will serve to broaden and enhance understanding un-derstanding and support between the Festival and the community. "We have always enjoyed support from the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, and we are particularly happy to have a member from the motel and restaurant segment of our community. We also feel Mr. park's background and enthusiasm will be an asset to the Festival," Mr. Adams stated. Mr. Park grew up in Nephi, at- ' tended Southern Utah State College and received his law degree from the University of Utah. He is a member of three bar asociations and has practiced prac-ticed law in Cedar City and Southern Utah since entrance to the Utah State Bar. A member of several civic and service organizations, he is married to the former Tamara Robinson and they are the parents of three children. Garth Jones is also A graduate of Southern Utah State College. He has been employed by Union Pacific Railroad, ahs served as principal in the LDS Church seminary system, and has served as Food Service Director for SUSC. He has served as a member of the SUSC Alumni Council and as State Representative from District 7 to the Utah State Legislature. He is married to Marilyn Dalley Jones and is the father of 5 children. He is presently serving as LDS Bishop of the Enoch 1st Ward. Steve Thomas grew up in Idaho, attended Dixie College, Brigham Young University and holds a MBA degree from Utah State University. He has worked int he Sugar Loaf Cafe Corporation, St. George, and in 1979 formed Thomas Management Corporation Cor-poration in Cedar City, at which time ' he purchased the Sugar Loaf Cafe and Rodeway Inn. He is a member of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International. His wife is Kristine Petersen, and they are the parents of three children.
