Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS 1, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by CEDAR CITY CORPORATION until the hour of eight (8:00) O'clock, P.M., February 19, 1976, for the construction con-struction of a water pumping plant, pressure pipelines, equalizing storage reservoir constructed in earth, and an open storage reservoir also constructed con-structed in earth. 2. The work consists essentially essen-tially of the following items and comprises all of SCHEDULE III under the Cedar City Wastewater Treatment Plant Project at Cedar City, Iron County, Utah: APPROXIMATELY 37,000 cubic yards of equalizing reservoir embankment, 12,500 cubic yards of equalizing reservoir impervious clay blanket, 65 lin. ft. of 24 inch reinforced concrete pipe, 800 lin, ft. of 24 inch CMP with 3 MES fabricated for inlet to equalizing reservoir and inlet to pumping plant wet well, 60 Jin. ft. of 12 inch ductile iron pipe and CMP. fabricated for inlet to recycling pump, Three reinforced concrete weir boxes complete with sliding gates, one (1) reinforced concrete con-crete pumping plant station with insulated steel building, two eight (8) inch vertical turbine pumps and two 350 hp. electric motors complete with control panels, wiring, 8 inch mainline water meter, two silent check valves, and all other valves and fittings for complete installation, one 4" x 6" Non-Clog sewage pump complete with 10 hp. electric motor, control panel, wiring complete with valves and fittings including approximately 900 feet of 6 inch ductile iron recycling pipeline, 32,000 feet of 12 inch ductile iron pressure pipeline with valves and fittings, 4,530 feet of 10 inch ductile iron pressure pipeline with valves and fittings, 5,050 feet of 6 inch ductile iron pressure pipeline with valves and fittings, 115,000 cubic yards of storage reservoir embankment, 70,000 cubic yards of storage reservoir impervious clay blanket, 246 feet of 18 inch CMP fabricated for future pumping station, 850 tons of crushed aggregate base course material and 350 tons of central hotplant mixed bituminous surface course material for restoring the applicable bituminous surfaces on the county road, state highways and city streets. 3. BIDS WILL BE, OPENED and read aloud to the public on or about the same time set for closing the bidding and such will be under the direction of the mayor and city council., 4. Instructions to bidders, plans and specifications, form of proposal, form of contract and bonds may be obtained from RALPH B. PLATT, Consulting Engineer, P.O. Box 398, Cedar City, Utah 84720, upon a deposit of $25.00. 5. Each bid shall be accompanied ac-companied by a certified check, cashier's check or bidder's bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total bid proposal. 6. A combined performence and payment bond in an amount , equal to 100 percent of the bid price or contract will be required of the successful bidder or contractor. 7. No bid may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids and all bids shall remain in force until otherwise released. 8. BIDDERS ON THIS WORK WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE PRESIDENT'S EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 11246. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR BIDDERS BID-DERS AND CONTRACTORS UNDER THIS ORDER ARE EXPLAINED IN THE BODY OF THE SPECIFICATIONS COVERING NONDISCRIMINATION NON-DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT. 9. CEDAR CITY CORPORATION COR-PORATION reserves the right to reject any bid or all bids, to make the award in the best interest of the city, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid in the best interest of the city.
