Show Trading Center leads at Half-way point in Bantam Ball Merc led all scorers with 16 points and K.C. Fiack added 7. For J & J David Hulet ended with 9, Dan Robinson 8 and Jeff Stapley 6. Next week the second half of the season starts with games at 1 and 2 again. STANDINGS Parowan Trading Center 3-0 Jones Paino 2-1 Parowan Merc 1-2 J&JCarpet 0-3 PAROWAN - Saturday afternoon af-ternoon two very good games were held in the Parowan Bantam Basketball League. In the first one; the two unbeaten teams, Jones Piano and the Parowan Trading Center squared off to see who would end up in first place. The first quarter was low scoring as both teams tested the other's defense. The Trading Center had a narrow 6-4 lead at the end of the first six minutes. At the end of the first half, the Trading Center had pulled away from Jones Piano slightly 16-12. At the start of the second half, Brooke Bentley hit a layup to pull Jones to within two at 16-14. After that, they went scoreless for the quarter but were still in the game as the Trading Center could only manage four points and a 20-14 third quarter lead. During the fourth quarter the Trading Center pulled away to a 30-18 win. For the Trading Center it was a three-way attack as David Mitchell scored 12, Pat Benson 10 and Todd Robinson 8. Jones Piano had a very balanced team attack with Roger Bentley, Shane Bess and Kelly Orton all hitting for four points. In the tailend of this exciting double header, Parowan Merc came out with a close 26-25 win over J & J Carpet. J & J led for three quarters 5-4, 13-8, and 19-15. Dan Robinson, David Hulet and Jeff Stapley did most of the scoring for J & J. In the fourth quarter the Merc got hot and it was a nip and tuck battle down to the final seconds.
