Show I Mr. and Mrs Duayne Matheson to celebrate Golden Wedding date an Elders and Seventies president and has a High Priest Group leader. He has also served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and served two Stake Missions. Mrs. Matheson has served as Relief Society President In the Fifth Ward. She has also taught in the Primary, MIA and served as Junior Sunday School coordinator. coor-dinator. She has spent the last 25 years as a Nurses Aide at the Valley View Medical Center. They both have worked in the Republican Party Precincts. Roth are in good health and love to travel and spent as much time as they can doing Temple Work. The Mathesons indicated that , they were honored to be observing ob-serving their Golden Wedding Anniversary during America's Bicentennial year, Mr. and Mrs. Duayne Matheson will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Monduy, Feb. 2, however, an open house observance and family reunion honoring the occasion will not be held until June. The Mathesons were married February 2, 1926 in the St. George LDS Temple. She is the former Alice Walker and both are natives of Cedar City and have spent their entire lives here. The Mathesons have seven children and twenty grandchildren. grand-children. Children include: Kenneth, who resides in Las Vegas, Nev.; Paul of Sandy, Roger who makes his home in Simi, Calif.; Gerald of Sparks, Nev.; MarJean Mansour of San Bruno, Calif.; Steve makes his home in Monticello. Another daughter, Alice Joy, died when a small child. Duayne worked most of his life as a mechanic and truck driver and spent 20 years as the Iron County Schools Transportation Supervisor. At present he is serving as a school crossing guard at the East Elementary School.
