Show NEW HARMONY NEWS By Marva I). Prince Mrs. Vilo Pearce spent a few days in Cedar City with her daughter and son-in-law J. V. and Avey Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Heilson of Idaho Falls, Idaho spent the night here with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hall. The Heilsons then traveled on to Logandale, Nevada to' visit with Mrs. Heilson's sister and brother-in-law Reed and Laura Prince, former residents of New Harmony. Har-mony. Mrs. Marsha Goodwin and Ashby Pace, and Mrs. Roger Martin of Summit visited in St. George wtih Mr. Pace's daughter and brother-in-law Albert and Iva Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. i Harrison are the parents of Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Pace attended the testimonial in Enoch, for Mr. and Mrs. Dick Williams before they left for the mission home in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Williams is the sister of Mr. Pace. Several of our town people attended the grand opening of the Uverson's Feed Center Friday and Saturday at Cedar City. Viola Kelsey, Vada Grant, Dorothy Batty, Olive Schmutz, and Sylvia Pace visited in St. George on Wednesday and also attended temple sessions. Afton F. Grant of Salt Lake City visited relatives and to bring a load of furniture. Afton just recently retired from the PIE Truck Lines for many years and is moving to New Harmony. He is a former resident from here. Mrs. Ben Batty, her sister Terry Atherly, Mrs. Frank Batty and daughters, and Mrs. Robert LeFevre and daughter visited at ' the home of Mrs. Leah Batty and Bp. and Mrs. Cannon Huntsman and to attend a party at Mrs. Battys. Several of the ladies of New Harmony were also in attendance. at-tendance. The Merrie Miss Fathers and Daughters supper was held at the home of Mrs. Berdean Schlosser, j teacher of the Merrie Miss girls. ; Tammey Compton, Beth Morris! and Kay Love and their fathers! were in attendance. |
