I SUSC conducts Shakespearean Festival promotion Campaign Other winter season activities of the Festival include distribution of the Shakespearean Winter Edition Newsletter, and a Festival Guild Valentine gala scheduled for February 14, on the SUSC campus. Approximately six thousand copies of the 1976 Utah Shakespearean Festival brochure and poster will be mailed this week from the Southern Utah State College campus. The poster-brochures will advise Festival friends in 42 states and three foreign countries coun-tries that the 15th annual season is underway on the Cedar City campus. The combination poster-brochure poster-brochure is a new concept this season, enabling patrons who receive the Festival information to also receive a large portrait of William Shakespeare and an announcement of the season's plays. Scheduled for presentation in the Bicentennial season are THE TEMPEST, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, JULIUS CAESAR. The first two plays are comedies, one based on the true story of a shipwreck and finding a new land. JULIUS CAESAR is one of 'SJjakespeares most studied tragedies, and is a play familiar to rijany audiences. Again this season pre-play festivities and a credit or non-credit non-credit Shakespearean seminar will be available for interested persons. According to Professor Fred C. Adams, Festival founding foun-ding director three guest directors will be in residence with the Festival during the summer, marking the first season Professor Adams has not directed one of the plays. Included with the brochure is a ticket order form, showing seat locations and prices, and offering patrons an opportunity to purchase pur-chase tickets any time after January 1, 1976. |
