A series of seminars or training meetings are being conducted throughout Utah to acquaint job hunters 45 years of age and older, on methods of properly approaching ap-proaching a prospective employer, as well as personal per-sonal preparedness to be able to answer questions resulting from an interview wh'fh usually follows an application for a job. A seminar is scheduled for all interested people in Cedar City and surrounding areas at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1979 1979 at the Senior Citizen Center in Cedar City, which is located in the basement of the City Office Building at 43 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah. Personnel from industry segments of the area, as well as specialists in the field of employment and training, will give discussions at the meeting. This training will not guaranteee a job, but will equip job seekers with a better understanding on how to get the most out of their job placement efforts. Green Thumb is a public service program sponsored by the National Farmers Union u under contract with the Department of Labor. In addition to placing workers on public service jobs, a vigorous effort is being put forth to encourage those workers who need employment em-ployment and have capabilities to seek out employers who need labor and can use the older workers. Proper methods are needed to get the laborer and the employer together. These methods are a part of the discussion at the ' seminars.
