Show Redmen in must-win situation on the road For the Cedar High School Redmen its back on the road again this week as they travel to Provo to take on the T-Birds of Timpview. Gametime is scheduled for Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. The Redmen were in action at mid-week last week against t he league leading Provo Bulldogs and lost a closely contested 62-55 battle. That left the Redmen in a position of having to win all of their three remaining games if they are to be a contender for the fourth spot from Region Six to enter the State Class 3A tournament this year. The Redmen have defeated Timpview at Cedar City earlier this year, but will have their hands full this week battling the T-Birds on their home court. However, Coach John Neilsen feels that if he can get as good a performance from his crew this week as he did last week in losing to Provo, they could pick up a big win Friday n ight. That leaves American Fork on the road and PleasantGrove at home to round out the regular league season ..for Coiach Neilsen and his Redmen. Against Provo the Red-men Red-men matched the Bulldogs bucket for bucket in the period and trailed by only two at the end of eight minutes of play. Provo built up a seven point advantage, which they held going into the final quareter of play, but the Redmen continued to challenge with Craig Jensen leading the way as he penetrated the-middle. Jensen was top scorer for the Redmen with 20 points. For the Bulldogs it was Steve Sanders who hit for 26 points - -- many of them second efforts on the offensive of-fensive boards - that spelled the difference.
