Show Student Interns needed by Historical Group community will De identified, iden-tified, described, researched, resear-ched, and accurately mapped. The resulting inventory in-ventory of Sevier County will be published along with a final report, and will form the basis for future research on Sevier County. Planning interns will be based in Salt Lake City and will work on the preparartion of preser-vatiaon preser-vatiaon plans for historic districts in the state. Applicants for the internships in-ternships should be advanced ad-vanced students in the fields mentioned earlier, and have photographic experience. Paid summer internships for students of history, architecture, ar-chitecture, architectural history, historic preservation, preser-vation, planning , and related fields are now ' available with the Preservation Preser-vation Office of the Utah State Historical Society. In a concentrated three-month three-month program, the interns will work on documentation and planning projects under the direction of the Historical Society professional staff. Approximately Ap-proximately 15 interns will be selected from qualified applicants who submit their application by early March 1979. Historic preservation interns in-terns will be part of two research teams in Sevier County, and will prepare complete documentation on every structure over 40 years old in the county. One team will work in the field, photographing and documenting the sites in each town. Another team will proceed with further local research on the sites and will process the forms and information. Interns will complete one town before moving on to the next, and upon the completion of each town, all sites in that |
