Show Snow Week Activities at S USC p.m. There will be plenty of hot chocolate and donuts available to warm Snow Bowl participants, Cyndi Woodbury, event chairperson chair-person says. That evening the SUSC Thunderbirds will battle Adams State College in RMAC basketball action. Game time is at 7:30 p.m. in the War Memorial Fieldhouse. Snow Week will conclude with the annual Snow Ball Saturday evening. Dancing will begin at 9:30 p.m. in the large ballroom; tickets will be available at the door for the formal event. The dance theme will be "Too Much Heaven." A snow scupturing contest and other outdoor winter act Snow Week at Southern Utah State College. The annual winter festival will be held February 18-24. "A queen's pageant, concerts, assemblies and dances will be held along with the outdoor activities." Lisa Dalton. Snow Week chairperson, said. Snow Week will begin February 18 with a non-denominational non-denominational fireside. The Sunday evening program will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the SUSC Auditorium. Conrad Gottfredson, Orem, will be the guest speaker. The snow sculpturing contest will begin early Monday morning in front of the auditorium. Prizes will be awarded at 6 p.m. for the most original, most humorous, and most outstanding out-standing entries, Dalton said. The contest is open to campus clubs and organizations and to anyone else who wants to try their luck in the annual contest. SUSC's 1978-79 Snow Queen and her attendants will be selected Monday evening. Pageant Chairperson Chair-person Lori Fmbley reports that close to 15 SUSC coeds will vie for the Snow Queen title. Admission to the pageant will cost $1 and will help cover the cost of staging the traditional Snow Week event. The pageant will begin at 8:15 in the SUSC auditorium. The theme is "Memories". "Good Company", a traveling group from Weber State College that has performed throughout the western United States, Japan, the Far East and the South Pacific, will appear in concert onTuesday. The concert is free to the public and will begin at 8 pm. in the Frank A. Thorley Recital Hall. ASSUSC general elections will be held Wednesday. A special elections dance will be held that evening beginning at 9 p.m. in the large ballroom. All students who have voted during the day will be admitted free to the dance and will be on hand for the announcement of the new student officers. "Magic by Lee", a magic show originating from Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, will be presented twice Wednesday evening, once at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m., in the student center lounge. Admission to the show will be $1. A faculty staff assembly will be the featured event Thursday. The program begins at noon in the auditorium. "We're very pleased to offer this free assembly as part of Snow Week activities and welcome everyone to join us," Dalton, a sophomore from Circleville, said. A movie "The Snowball Express" will be shown that evening at 8 p.m. in the Frank A. Thorley Recital Hall. On Friday, the LDSSA will sponsor a Snow Bowl at Wood's Ranch.
