Garth Jones of Cedar City, "Will become the neucleus of the state wilderness policy," Governor Scott Matheson stated. "Depending on what happens to the 28 mills mandidated for the School Unification Program, the bill will provide for property evaluation to be carried out with less and less state interference," Rep. Jones stated. House Bill 12, introduced by Jones, to repeal the prevailing wage rate has passed the House and in late action Monday afternoon was also psassed by the Senate. "It will now go to the Governor for his signature. It has been indicated that the Governor may veto the bill but that will not be known for awhile," Jones indicated. The bill will create a Depatmentof Community Affairs and Economic Affairs and is designed to consolidate the departments of Community Affairs and Natural Resources and others.
