Show GENERAL NOTICE TO CONTROL , ":J" NOXIOUS WEEDS Notice Is hereby given this 1st day of May, 1972, pursuant to the Utah Noxious Weed Act, Section 7, to every person who owns or controls land in Iron County, Utah, that noxious weeds standing, being, or growing on such land shall be controlled and the spread of same prevented by effective effect-ive cutting, tillage, cropping, pasturing, or treating with chemicals or other effective methods, or combination thereof, approved by the County Weed Supervisor, as often as may be required to prevent the weed from blooming bloom-ing and maturing seeds, or spreading by root, root stalks or other means. Upon failure to comply with this notice, the owner or person per-son In possession of property upon which noxious weeds are present shall be deemed negligent neg-ligent and enforced control measures may be imposed at the discretion of county authorities. auth-orities. The following are declared noxious weeds for the State of Utah and the county of Iron: Bertmudagrass, Bind weed (Wild Morning-Glory), Broad-leaved Broad-leaved . Peppergrass (Tall Whitetop), Musk Thistle, Quackgrass, Russian Knapweed, Knap-weed, Canada Thistle, Johnson Grass, Leafy Spurge, Scotch Thistle, Whitetop. In relation to this notice, Iron County owns and will operate op-erate a spray rig in the County this year. While the main role of the county In the weed control con-trol program will be primarily an attempt to control weeds on county right of ways, there will be some spraying of nox-1 nox-1 lous weeds on private property proper-ty at the request of the property pro-perty owner. This work will be done for the price of the chemical as has been the procedure pro-cedure in the past. Those desiring de-siring to avail themselves of this service must schedule with the county for a time when the sprayer Is In their area. This may be done by contacting Steve Grimshaw. Iron County Weed Control Supervisor, Su-pervisor, through the extension exten-sion service or at his home.
