Trades students have erected building and it is designed to be moved onto the successful bidder's property. SUS project house on bidding block! Bidding has opened for the Southern Utah State College Project Home and sealed bids will be accepted until 2 p.m. on May 15, 1972, it was announced an-nounced by Neil K. Boyter, SUSC purchasing agent. Prospective bidders may view the home, now located at 700 West and 300 South, between be-tween the hours of 1 and 8 p.m. on May 10 through 12. The bid minimum is $14,850. The three-bedroom home has provided on-the-job experience ex-perience for some 150 students participating in building construction con-struction courses at the col- lege who have worked since last October in creating the home. Nearly 11,000 man hours havo gone into the plan-ning plan-ning and building of the structure, according to Prof. Lyman Munford, supervisor of the project. In addition to three bedrooms, bed-rooms, the 1220 square feet of the home include a living room, kitchen and dinette, and one and three-quarter baths. Access to a basement, should the purchaser desire to have one, is provided. The home has electric cable heat in the ceiling and is already al-ready complete with finished birch cabinets and formica counters in the kitchen. The bathrooms have white fixtures with birch vanities, formica counter top, and baeksplash. Floor coverings are of con-goleum con-goleum in kitchen and baths. Two coats of paint have been applied to the house interior in-terior and the rooms have textured tex-tured ceilings. Carpets and drapes are optional. Coordinated Coordinat-ed designs are available to those who desire them. The home has a rustic appearance ap-pearance with cedar shake shingles and wood siding finish. fin-ish. However, according to Mr. Munford, if the buyer should wish to add brick veneer tc the building, the cost of the iding will be deducted from the initial bid. The buyer would have responsibility for installing the brick facing.
