Show Sherma Huntington Recognized j By Beta Sigma Phi A former Cedar City woman, Sherma Reid, has been honored honor-ed recently by the Nevada Sigma Chapter (Elko, Nov.) of Beta Sigma Phi. Mrs. Reid, the former Sherma Huntington, daughter of the late Sanders and Eva Huntington of Cedar City, was named as one of two nominees nomi-nees from Elko area to be included in 'the organizations of America 19G7 edition. She is a graduate of College of Southern Utah and Is married mar-ried to Gordon Reid, son of "Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Reid of Tanguitch. Ho is with the tl. S. I Forest St rviee with offices in Elko. : In listing her as the Elk chapter nominee it was indicated indi-cated that her greatest contribution con-tribution is to youth. During the winter she spent several n'"hts a week teaching, not only 'teen-agers in "Elko "but also -surrounding communities, dances for the IDS Dtnce Fest'ival. She is active in the LDS Church teaching in addition ad-dition in primary and also teaches a special gleaner-class heft'd on Sunday :nignts. |
