Mortuary 0 2 .000 State Bank pulled the upset of the week when they defeated de-feated Utah Construction Monday evening by a score of 6 to 5. It was not that State Bank was not given a chance to win, it was the manner in which they did it. Trailing! by a score of 5 to 0 going into the final half Inning of play State Bank came up with six runs to pick up the victory. John Spevak and Bernie Leavitt were on the mound for the winners with Leavitt picking up the victory. For Utah Construction Jeff Carr and Layne Isom shared mound duties with Isom suffering suf-fering the loss in the final inning of play. Carr was the big hitter of the evening with a triple and home run to his credit. Beten-son Beten-son of UC doubled for their only extra base hit. In other action of the week Charles Morris held Southern Utah Mortuary to just three hits and one run as Utah Parks came up with their first victory of the season, 13 to 1. Parks pushed in three runs in the second frame and were never headed. Robin Haight and Rodney Cosslett shared mound duty for the leaders. California-Pacific kept their record intack during the week with a 7 to 5 victory over State Bank. Blake and Tommy Car-don Car-don were on the mound for the win with Cardon collecting collect-ing the victory. Betensen and Leavitt hurled for the losers. Only extra base hit of the contest was a double by Gene Cardon of Cal.-Paciflc. State Bank outhit Cal.-Pac. 9 to 8, but could not produce the runs for the victory.
