Show Big Game Public Meetings Begin Next Week Utah's five man Board of Big Game Control will be holding public meetings to l hear recommendations for the 1967 big game hunts in five cities during the week of June 9 through 23. The board will meet at Fillmore Fill-more courthouse on June 19, the Manti courthouse on June 20; Monticello courthouse on June 21; at the Fish and Game office in Salt Lake City on June 22, and wind up the public meetings in Ogden on June 23 at the Mountain Fuel Supply Company auditorium. All meetings are scheduled for 8 p. m. as a convenience for the public. Board Chairman, John E. "Bud" Phelps said, "The annual an-nual public meetings afford an opportunity for both individuals indi-viduals and organizations to submit their recommendations for the big game hunts." Procedure for the meetings call for reading of the recommendations recom-mendations submitted by the Inter-agency Committee, composed com-posed or personnel from the U. S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and the Department of Fish and Game. As the Inter-agency recommendations recom-mendations for each herd unit are read, the meeting is then opened to hear recommendations recommenda-tions from anyone present. The information is noted and then considered in the executive execu-tive meeting when the seasons are set. Board Chairman Phelps urged ur-ged anyone interested in submitting sub-mitting information to the board to plan on attending the public meeting in the town nearest them. |
