Show Former Resident Informs Us Of Family Doings In a letter to us from Mrs. Delia Marsden in Ogden, she informs us of what has been happening to her family who are all now residing in other areas, but who are well known to many residents of the Parowan Paro-wan area. She says: Seems like often when out of sight we become out of mind. However, I thought some of the residents of Iron County and especially Parowan, Paro-wan, would be interested in two rather important events of our William Marsden family. First, our oldest son, Car-lyle, Car-lyle, held a spring concert of the Pomona Stake Mormon Choir. Carlyle is conductor of this 80-member group of well trained singers. At this concert con-cert the guest conductor and soloist for two numbers was Richard P. Condie, tabernacle chorister. Noted organist was Andrew E. Flanders. Over 1500 people attended the concert and more than $3,000 was raised from the event. . . . Then last Friday night we attended the baccalaureate service and Saturday morning the graduation exercises at USU where our son Ralph received re-ceived his doctor's degree in Educational Psychology, (Reported (Re-ported in last week's issue). Ralph is director of counseling counsel-ing at Weber State College.. He was one of 45 out of 355 selected to attend an institute at Michigan State U where we are leaving for this afternoon. I will spend some time with our daughter, Mary Jane, who is at Corning, N. Y. Her husband hus-band works at Corning Glass Co. Incidentally, I was at the Parowan cemetery among the many other former residents on May 30. Sincerely, Delia D. Marsden |
