Show Airline Hearings To Be Held In Salt Lake City A case before the Civil Aeronautics Aer-onautics Board of Examiners introduced by Bonanza Airlines Air-lines to provide new and additional ad-ditional airline service to a number of points, will be held in Salt Lake Citv starting Julv 25. The "Salt Lake City-Las Vegas, Ve-gas, southern California Case," involves a proposed connecting connect-ing link by Bonanza from Cedar Ce-dar City to Las Vegas, Nev., and from there to the southern California area. The entire hearing dealing with the case will be held in Salt Lake City in a break of precedent that the CAB has held that civil portion be held in the cities involved and the airline portion be held in Washington, D. C. In exhibits filed earlier this week, Bonanza said its proposal pro-posal would provide single-plane single-plane service in 12 markets, benefitting 245,195 passengers and resulting in a subsidy re- quirement reduction oi more than $630,000. Included are four daily pure jet round trips between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, three of the non-stop and the fourth via Las Vegas. There would be an additional pure-jet pure-jet round trip between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas originating orig-inating or terminating in San Diego. Also proposed is service between be-tween Cedar City and Las Vegas, Ve-gas, with a flight which continues con-tinues to Ontario - Riverside and Los Angeles, providing the first through-plane service between Cedar City, and Las Vegas and the southern California Cali-fornia area. Other airlines in the case are American, Continental, Frontier, Pacific, Trans-World, United, West Coast and Western. |
