Guard Karnes ildvisory Council Camn Williams Sunday morn-1 ing- Four citizens of Cedar City were honored as National Guard Minutemen and appointed ap-pointed as members of Na- I tional Guard Citizen Advisory j Council. Presentation of certificates was made by Capt. Van Bushnell, Bush-nell, Commander of Headquarters Head-quarters Bat'ery of the 2nd Battalion, 222nd Artillery of the Utah National Guard. Named to the council and receiving the certificates were Mayor Loren Whetten, Iron County Commissioner Norman Ileaton, College of Southern Utah board member Kumen Gardner, and Klien Rollo, representing re-presenting the press. The council is to serve as a laison between the National Guard Unit in Cedar City and the community. The council, Capt. Bushnell stated, will be a point of contact for the guard unit in regard to community com-munity problems and problems prob-lems relative to the unit that affect the community. The four man council were also appointed as Minutemen by the Utah National Guard. Presentation was made Saturday Sat-urday prior to the unit's debarking de-barking for the annual National Na-tional Guard encampment at |
