Show Legion Post Reaches Halfway Mark In Membership Drive Membership for 1966-67 in the Cedar City American Legion Post No. 74 is past the halfway objective objec-tive of the year, it was announced announc-ed by Commander L. C. Miles. A goal of 100 members was set by the committee for the reactivated reacti-vated organization. The Legion room was filled to capacity for the visit of State Department De-partment Commander Edwin L. The December meeting for the post will be held in the Legion room Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 6 to 8 p. m. M. R. Bills, department service officer and Dean C. Hall, department de-partment adjutant, will be speakers speak-ers and will spend much of the time assisting veterans, widows, and children in answering questions ques-tions and working on individual and family problems pertaining to the VA program. The World War I Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars are forming with the Legion for the December meeting. This meeting can be of great importance impor-tance and help to those who are not sure what procedure to follow fol-low in making out the questionnaires, question-naires, Commander Miles stated. |
