Show Cropland Adjustment Program Announced Friday The 1967 Cropland Adjustment Adjust-ment Program has been announced announc-ed by Secretary of Agriculture. The program authorizes farmers to enter into an agreement to divert di-vert cropland normally used for the production of feed grai,n and nonallotment crops to conserving conserv-ing and recreational uses. The agreement may be for five to ten years. Annual adjustment payments may be made for acreages acre-ages placed under agreement. Cost-share payments are authorized author-ized for the establishment of approved ap-proved conservation and recreation recrea-tion practices. The designated acreage must be maintained for the duration of the agreement in such a manner as to prevent erosion and to control con-trol weeds, insects, and undesirable unde-sirable rodents. No crops may be planted for harvest or harvested on the designated acrage. Producers with a feed grain base (corn) or a tame hay base maybe eligible to participate in this program.
