Dono also rolled a 208 game, and finished the night with a 615 series which was also high for the week in this league. Virge Smith rolled games of 215 and 200 to finish with a 610 series, and Gib Mitchell rolled a 208 and 203 to finish with an even 600 series. Runner-up honors to the 257 game were taken by Don Neilson and Hal Boyce, who each rolled games of 223, Paul Wood came up with a 222, and Clare Randall a 221. Other games of note were a 217 by Ross Terry, Don Adams 213, Gordon Twitchell 212, Clare uandail 211, and Harold Butcher 209. Games between 200 and 205 were rolled by Bob Carmoni, Roy I Battle, Carl Tiwtchell, Mel Jones, Dee Cowan, Hal Boyce, John Hickman and Bill Dover. High team series of the week was rolled by the Arctic Circle, a 2794. The Circle team also took the high team game honors with a 1012 game. The Twitchell Upholstery Up-holstery team came colse with a 994, and also took runner-up honors hon-ors in the series department with a 2726 for the night. Only part of a league bowled last Thursday in the Mixed Doubles, and the only game of note was a 202 by Hump Rosenberg. Rosen-berg. The Rosenberg and Parry team also took all the team honors with the high game of 641, and the high series of 1827. Joe and LaPreal Anderson started things off this last week with a make-up game for the Monday Couples league, and they rolled a 1146 series with a high game of 416. Joe had a 213 game in a 564 series, but took second place to his wife who rolled roll-ed games of 201 and 203 in a 582 series. Logan Carr, playing against the Anderson's came up with a 210 game in a 569 series. Monday night the league got down to serious business, and Nyal and Faye Miller came up with all the honors for the week. The Millers rolled a high team game of 444, and the high team series of 1127. Nyal rolled a 245 game in a 628 series to take all individual honors for the week. George Fetty rolled a 224 game to take the week's runner-up honors. Tuesday night in the Rainbow League the Norge Villarge took all the team honors with the high team games of 978 and 909, and the high series of 2673. Individual In-dividual honors went to Hal Boyce, who rolled the high game of the week, 225, and the high series of 607. Nolan Stokes also rolled a 225 to tie Boyce in this department. Other games were a 221 by Dee Cowan, a 212 by Paul Wood, Wes Higbee rolled a 205,1 and Logan Carr had a 204, Elton El-ton Stratton had a 203, and Denis Den-is Lowder an even 200. The Southern Associated league had 24 200 plus games Wednesday Wednes-day night, and three men rolled 600 or better series. Top single |
