Show Cerebral Hemorrhage Fatal to Selma Felt Jones 1 Mrs. Selma Felt Jones, 51. died! Monday, April 30, of a cerebral hemorrhage, after having been in poor' health for .two and one half years. She first suffered a paralytic stroke in December. 1953, and although having been able to be around part of the time, has been in a dangerous condition since. She was apparently feeling normal Monday when her husband hus-band left to do some work in the west end of the county, but was suddenly stricken during the day. Mrs. Jones was born in Hunts-vllle, Hunts-vllle, Utah, on Aug. 29, 1904, a daughter of Hyrum and Mary Elizabeth Geertsen Felt. On Feb. 2, 1922 she married Thorton A. Jones in the St. George temple, and they had made their home In Cedar City most of the time since. An active member of the L D S church, Mrs. Jones had served In many capacities in the various auxiliary organizations. She is survived by her husband, hus-band, Cedar City; two sons, Sp. 3c Glendon H. Jones, serving in the armed forces in Germany, and Ronald F. Jones, Cedar City; four daughters, Mrs. E. E. (Zola) Graff, ' Savannah, Mo.; Mrs. George (Elolse) Montague and Mrs. Doyle (Arvllla) Jensen, both of Las Vegas, and Sheriann Jones of Cedar City. She Is also survived sur-vived by one sister, Vera Withers, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be con-i ducted in the Cedar Fourth Ward chapel Friday at 2 p. m. and burial will take place in the Cedar Ce-dar City cemetery. Friends may call at the Southern South-ern Utah Mortuary from 7 to 9 p. m. this evening, Thursday, and from 11 a. m. until time for the services Friday. |
