Show Utah Parks Co. Prepares For New Season Another tourist session at the Utah National Parks of this area Is drawing near, and the Utah Parks Company, operators of Inns and Lodges at the parks, is busy with preparations for the opening of these facilities for the summer season. The Inns, formerly designated as cafeterias, at Bryce, Zlon and Grand Canyon National Parks, will open on May 15, W. P. Rogers, Rog-ers, general manager, has announced. an-nounced. Lodges in the three parks and at Cedar Breaks National Na-tional Monument will open on June 10, Mr. Rogers states. New improvements have been made during the winter at the Parks Company facilities in the AU cabins at Zlon Lodge and at Zlon Inn have been air conditioned, con-ditioned, and the usual painting and cleaning of all facilities have been completed. The cabins and lodge at Zion carry a bright new look with new vari-colored paint on all facilities. Improvements at Cedar Breaks include a new snack bar at the lodge and modernization of aU cabins at the National Monument. Monu-ment. Mr. Rogers has also announced that managers for the Inns will include Zion, Bud Rcmber; Grand Canyon. Joe Stoker; and Bryce, Gene Pectol. Lodge managers include: in-clude: Zion, Arthur Hanson: Grand Canyon, Fred Nur.nciidorf; Eryce, Dalton Mocks; Cedar Breaks, Lamar Schneider. Announcement An-nouncement Is alsc made that wives of the managers will assist as-sist their husbands in managerial manager-ial work. WiUiam McSwain, who was at Old Faithful Lodge In Yellow-stone Yellow-stone National Park for IS years, will be manager of El Escalante Hotel in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. McSwain will replace Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Moeks who wiU leave the hotel In Cedar City to spend the summer at Bryce. |
