Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mrs. Court Nelson and three children spent the week end visiting vis-iting with friends and relatives. The Nelsons have been living In Salt Lake City for the past few months. Over the week end Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Clove entertained Mr. and Mrs E J. Walker, their daughter Sherrie and son Kurt from Salt Lake City. Mrs. Walker Walk-er is a sister ol Mrs. Clove. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Evans from Flagstaff were week end guests of Mr and Mrs. Whitney Jensen. The Evans' daughter, Barbara, was the guest of Miss Margie Crabtree. . Mrs. Glen Yerg- :sen's two sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Zar Hayes and Mrs. Verna Rasmussen, from Salt Lake City were here visiting this week. Friday afternoon Mrs. Yer-gensen Yer-gensen entertained at bridge In honor of her sisters. Saturday af-ternoon af-ternoon they were Joined by their brother W. L. Gregersen of Beaver Bea-ver and enjoyed a family visit. Mr. and Mrs. Al Warden of Ogden left Sunday for home after af-ter visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Williams. Mrs. Warden spent a week here and is the sister sis-ter of Mrs. Williams. Las Vegas has been the magnetic mag-netic snoi for manv Cedar residents resi-dents this past week. Enjoying themselves there were Mr. and Mrs. Morg Slack, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cahoon, Mr. and Mrs. Max Cowan, Mr and Mrs. Chester Cripps, and Mr. and Mrs. Glade Stephenson. Staying overnight for a visit were Mr. and Mrs. Klien Rollo, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hanson, Dr. and Mrs. Rodney Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rasmussen. Square dancing was the highlight high-light for many others in Cedar A Jamboree was held In St. George over the week end. Some of the peonle attending were Mr. and Mrs. Haze Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Shen Syrett. Mr. and Mrs. Zealand Murdork.1 Mr. and Mrs. T.ovell Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Murray and Mr. end Mrs. Jack Thtiet. The Hey Cedars Club took first plate at the gathering for the largest attendance. Also Mr. and Mrs. Thuet won the prize of the couple calls. rhoenix. Ariz, also held a square dance Jamboree and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holmes and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Overson attended this Jamboree. They spent four days In Thoenix. Haze Hunter, president of the Hey Cedars, informs us that it still isn't too late for those wishing wish-ing to learn to square dance. The dances are sponsored by the Hey Cedars club and are held on Thursday night at the North Elementary. If you are Interested in enrolling any member can help you cr contact Mrs. Douglas Ence. Winter oports. Inc., operates a ski lift in Cedar Canyon every week end. Perfect skiing conditions condi-tions this past week brought out many ski fans. Spectators were watching Doris Esplin, Bob Eh-hardt, Eh-hardt, Gary and Ronnie Adams. Clarence Kirkham, Charles Rat-ti. Rat-ti. Carl Palmer, Tom Evans, Jr., Marian Arns, Kent Dover, Daniel Webster, Meridith Rice and Jane Croft. Mr. and Mrs. Gam Woodall .and three children of Salt Lake City spent the week end with Mrs. Woodall's mother, Mrs. Par-iley Par-iley Anderson. I Sunday morning Mr. and Mrs. Kumen Gardner served breakfast I to the visiting church authorities, authori-ties, Stewart B. Eccles and El-dred El-dred G. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Rollo and son Johnny left last Thurs-day Thurs-day for Houston, Texas. They will spend a week visiting with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Fisher. Col. and Mrs. J. Frank Dalley I were In Provo last Friday to at-I at-I tend the military ball sponsored by the Hq. and Hq Btry., 145th F. A. Group. Col. Dalley is the group commonder. Mr. and Mrs. Don Draper were visited by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bennett, from Provo. Janet is recovering re-covering from an abdominal operation. op-eration. Her son Kent has been with his grandparents for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Schmutz, Mrs. Bruce Osborne and Miss Barbara Ward traveled to Logan to see the opera "Madame Butterfly" But-terfly" Miss Ward went on to Garland to visit with her family for the remainder of the week end. Jean Pugmire was hostess to the group while they were In Logan. This evening. Thursday, the Beta Sigma This will meet at the home of Mrs. Joe Banks. Mrs. Walter Granger will lead a discussion dis-cussion at the meeting dealing with the "City of Washington." Mrs. Granger spent a number of years as a resident of Washing- ton during her husband's terms in the United States. House of Representatives. |
