Emphasis has been placed on individual membership. In this respect the finance committee has set a goal of $10,000. That figure Is more than the total of individual and businesses busi-nesses in the past few years. From businesses another $10,000 goal has been set for a total revenue goal for Chamber of Commerce work of $20,000 this year. This drive will be conducted In March and another Innovation In-novation will be Inaugurated this year a door to door campaign cam-paign for membership. The Chamber and the finance committee feel that "This Is one organization In which every citizen of the city should have a membership." Warren Bulloch, chairman of the committee, com-mittee, pointed out that the past achievements of the Chamber the construction of roads, heading a drive for four-years of Rtudy at College of Southern Utah, the construction of the Memorial Fieldhouse have not been beneficial to Just a small group. but to the community as a whole. Individual membership into the Chamber of Commerce has been set at $10. Businesses will be asked for from $15 to $350. The committee which consists of Bulloch as chairman and members Walt Hansink, John Rowberry, Rex Harris, Hal Christensen and Marvin Chrlstensen, have been meeting weekly to organize the finance drive. The group anticipates a single day set aside for the community-wide drive. Details will be completed probably this week. |
