These students received Red Cross diplomas and scout merit badges after completing a course of approximately 30 hours. Explorer Scouts Earn Merit Badges In First Aid Training Nine explorer scouts of the Ce. dar Breaks District have completed com-pleted 20 hours of training in first aid. The boys who have completed the course will be qualified to receive the standard Red Cross First Aid card, according accord-ing to McRay Cloward. first aid chairman of Iron County and chairman of the district committee com-mittee on first aid safety and health. Many of the boys are working toward special explorer awards -ilch will be made easier because be-cause of this work, Mr. Cloward said. Cards and merit badges will be given to them in a court of honor hon-or In the near future. Those completing com-pleting the course which ran for a number of weeks were Barry La Von Po.ter, Leon B. Nelson, Thomas H. Anderson, Owen Ray Webb. Elwood Lee Harris. A. Leon Matheson, James E. Loops, Albert F. Lawrence and G. Allen Froyd. Also taking the course was explorer leader Rex Spackman. Spack-man. He took additional training train-ing and will receive the advance first aid as well as the standard card.
