Patsy Top-ham Top-ham and Sherry Dawn Evans. Leader awards were given to Mrs. Idella Robinson, Mrs. Sarah Rob-lnson Rob-lnson and Mrs. Leah Jean Board-man. Board-man. Mrs. Rosella Barton of the YWMIA presidency presented the individual awards and short talks were given by Mrs. Iras Jones and Mrs. Hazel Dawn Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thorton are proud grandparents again since the arrival of a fine baby boy born to Conrad and Rayma Clark of Cedar City. On Monday Rayma and the baby ba-by came to Paragonah to spend a few days with the Thornton family. fam-ily. Mrs. Mary Abbott is making satisfactory progress in the Iron County Hospital after an operation opera-tion on Wednesday of last week. The Abbott's Infant daughter Is In Parowan where she is being cared for by her aunt Mrs. Emma Rasmussen. Mrs. Nina Hamilton and her three youngsters, Carolyn, Steven and Mary Lou of Missoula, Mont arrived here on Wednesday for a few days stay with the Chester Robinson family. They were accompanied ac-companied from Provo by Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux. On Friday evening the group enjoyed enjoy-ed a family plcinic at the ie Mile and on Saturday they took a trip to Bryce Canyon. They left for home on Monday. Mrs. Thelma Clow and children of Henderson, Nev., were In Utah last week for a vacation visit with family member. They spent several days in Paragonah and the remainder In Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Clark and family of Henderson arrived here Sunday for a week's visit with relatives. They are guests at the Howard Jones home. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Top-ham Top-ham and Mrs. Hazel Dawn Evans traveled to Cedar City on Saturday Satur-day to attend the Division II M I A road show. News from Henderson, Nev., tells of the arrival of a baby boy, to Joe and Adele Burlson of that City. Mrs. Marion Englestead left immediately for Nevada to spend some time with the Burlson family fam-ily and assist with the care of her new great-grandchild. Marlon Englestead has returned return-ed to St. George. Members of the John C. Barton family have received word of the death of Mrs. Barton's sister, Mrs. Lillian R. Walker of Panguitch. Mrs. Walker died Sunday afternoon after-noon at the home of her son Stephen. She was 91 years old and was thought to be the oldest resident of Garfield County. Funeral Fu-neral services were held In Panguitch Pan-guitch on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lund traveled to Page,, Ariz., on Tuesday Tues-day of last week for a two-day visit with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Royce Knight. Mrs. Laverne Stewart of Nam-pa, Nam-pa, Idaho has been visiting in Paragonah for ten days with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Stones and with other oth-er relatives here and In Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson Ander-son and son Lamarr traveled to St George on Saturday for a visit vis-it with Mrs. Anderson's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Job F. Hall. On Sunday they traveled to 3eaver to spend iome time with their daughters and families. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lund and Mrs. Hazel Dawn Evans spent Saturday in St George. They were assisting with the annual an-nual cleaning of the temple and were accompanied by several Parowan ladles. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Boardman traveled to Kanarravllle on Sunday Sun-day to spend the day with A ( f Boardman'a people the Lorin Robinson family. Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux and daughter Laura left for Salt Lake City on Tuesday to do some shopping for the approaching wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Melvyn Jones and family are here from Salt Lake City for a week's vacation visit with relatives here and In Paro-wan. Paro-wan. Myron Abbott, daughter Klea and sons, David and Russell, and Mrs. Myrtle Abbott, went to Salt Lake City for the week end. Lee Abbott was expected to be released releas-ed from the Children's Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson en-Joyed en-Joyed a Sunday visit from Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Galway and their three sons of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Galway is a niece of Mrs. Robinson. Rob-inson. Elmo Robinson made a business busi-ness trip to Provo on Saturday and brought back his aunt, Mrs. Leora Ashton back with him for a week end visit here. Mrs. Mary L. Robb, daughter Judy and sons Bobby and Barry of Salt Lake City arrived here on Wednesday of last week for a visit with the Walter Robb and Chester Robinson families Mr. and Mrs. Orval Lamoreaux and daughter Carol were also visitors vis-itors h the Chester Robinson home, Miss Lamoreaux being here for tie week end and her parents arriving on Sunday. Sherlynn and Craig White of Summit spent some time here last week with their grandmother, grandmoth-er, Mrs. Idella Robinson. The mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Shirley White, was In the hospital with a new baby. Mrs. Robinson spent Monday in Summit getting acquainted with her new grandchild. |
