Show Parowan Elementary Prepares for Opening After several days of meeting in a district-wide workshop, the teachers of the Parowan Elementary Elemen-tary will meet in their own building build-ing on Thursday and Friday of this week for the purpose of preparing pre-paring for the opening of class-work class-work on Monday, Aug. 31, states Don J. Applegate, new principal of the school. Principal Applegate announces that ti.e Parowan Elementary teaching staff for the 1959 60 year and the classroom assignments, will be as follows: Fae Benson, kindergarten; Zona Zo-na Topham, first grade; Louise Mortensen, first grade; Marna Heap, mixed second and third grade; Marlam Lister, third grade; George Williams, sixth grade. New teachers are Vivian Mitchell, Mitch-ell, second grade; Mervin Iver-son, Iver-son, fourth grade; Chester Benson, Ben-son, mixed fifth and sixth grade; Darrell Schramm, fifth grade. Mr. Applegate announces the non-teaching staff members as follows: Anna Stubbs, secretary; Waldo Taylor, custodian; Leone Lyman, lunch room supervisor, and Oriila Lister and La sea Hunt, lunch room helpers. Alice Barton is school nurse. With the introduction of winter win-ter kindergarten and additional first graders, we anticipate an Increase In-crease of 50 to 60 students over last year's enrollment, says Mr. Applegate. |
