Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS By Cora Murle Miss Marie Anderson Is now employed at Grand Canyon and will remain there until the opening open-ing of college in September. Allen (Bud) Garfield, who has been working in Bountiful this summer, has returned home and he expects to enter college this fall. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Garfield. Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanford Jones brought a load of furniture here from California in anticipation of their moving back to Enoch. The Jones have been residing in Califrnia for the past year. Mrs. Dilworth Armstrong's mother mo-ther and brother.of Salt Lake City Ci-ty spent the week end visiting here. The brother intends to enter en-ter College of Southern Utah this fall. A sister of Mrs. Armstrong has also been visiting here for the past month, sne returned with her mother to Salt Lake City where she will enter school. Mrs. Roy den Carter and new baby girl came home from the Iron County Hospital a few days ago. Both mother and baby are reported to be doing fine. The Stake Saturday evening dance was staged in the Enoch Ward recreation hall last week. Mildred Maxwell, Maurine and Hilda Grimshaw spent two days last week in Orderville Judging the 4-H Club exhibits of the Kane County Fair. Several High Priests and their wives attended the party at the Parowan Five Mile Friday. It was sponsored by the Parowan First Ward. Mrs. John Sherratt was home Sunday from Las Vegas where she visited her daughter 'and family. They made the trip to Enoch with Mrs. Sherratt to spend a few days vacationing. Bishop Henry Grimshaw left Monday morning for Salt Lake City on business. Betty Lue Croft of Los Angeles Is visiting with the Elton Richardson Rich-ardson family. Franklin Jones took Mick and Vern Grimshaw to Camp Maple-dell Maple-dell near Payson, for activities of the Order of tr- 3 Arrow. Linda Grimshaw and her friend Enid Davis, who are attending LDS business college in Salt Lake City, visited with the F. II. Grimshaw Grim-shaw family for a week. Members of Ivan Matheson's Sunday School class enjoyed boat riding on Navajo Lake last Saturday Sat-urday evening. Afterwards lunch was served to class members. Six girls were graduated from Primary in sacrament meeting Sunday. They include Bonnie Halterman, Susan Murle, Helen Pace, Vyonne Gibson, Rosalie Grimshaw and Jona Grimshaw. Class leader was Cleone Wilck-en. Wilck-en. Visiting at the Royden Carter home this week are Mr. and Mrs. Austin R. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Burr, all of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Wade of Long Beach, Calif. |
